I’m a user experience designer with a strong background in communications and marketing. While I’m just beginning my design journey, my years of experience in comms and marketing for government, not-for-profit and higher education sectors mean I take a holistic approach to my craft, aiming to make meaningful connections and impact in people’s lives.

I combine my passion for research, interaction design, and visual aesthetics to create intuitive and enjoyable digital experiences and user-centred designs.

Originally from New Zealand, I moved to London, England in 2018 on a working holiday visa. In 2022, I came back because I love it here and consider it home.

I’m Michelle-Rose Jackson! ✌️ You can call me Michelle.

Hey there!

MY JOURNEY SO FAR

My career started in communications and marketing where I have over five years experience working for government, not-for-profit and higher education sectors. I worked on various small and large-scale campaigns in the UK and New Zealand, through effective strategising and using various communications tools and digital programmes. Having worked with design teams, I realised I was very interested in human-centred design and creating digital products that make things easier for people.

In 2020, I decided to pursue a degree in Design Innovation and in 2023, I graduated with a double major in Communication and Interaction Design. I enjoy the research and technical aspects of design, as well as the opportunity to be creative in not only designs, but in problem solving. While I’m in the early days of my design career, I have a wealth of transferable skills that I can bring into my new role.
